School is back in session across the Charlotte area and, if you’re like us, the adjustment has been rough. Once all the carpools and pick-ups and after-school activities are done, there isn’t much time to make dinner for the fam.
For the nights when you didn’t make it to the store, forgot to turn on the crock pot in the morning or you’ve made it to 6 p.m. and you just. can’t. anymore., we put together a list of twelve of our favorite spots where you can feed the kiddos for free (and enjoy your dinner too). Here they are, in order of days of the week:
Duckworth’s Grill + Taphouse (Mooresville)
When: Mondays (and Sundays)
Where: Mooresville location
The Details: One free kid’s meal per $12 in adult purchases. Dine-in only. Limit 1 child per adult. Cannot be used in conjunction with coupons or daily special items.
Three Amigos
When: Mondays
Where: Highland Creek and NoDa locations
The Details: One kids menu item free with each accompanying paying adult. Kids menu includes tacos, quesadilla and chicken fingers with fries or rice and beans.
Urban Cookhouse
When: Mondays
Where: Park Road Shopping Center
The Details: Kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree from 4-8pm. Kids meal options include mac + cheese, grilled chicken strips, grilled cheese, chicken salad sandwich and the mac daddy of them all, the grilled peanut butter fluff sandwich.
Cantina 1511
When: Tuesdays
Where: Uptown, Park Road and Stonecrest Locations
The Details: Kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal, dinner only. Bonus for moms and dads: House Margaritas are only $5.
Kickstand
When: Tuesdays
Where: Plaza Midwood
The Details: Kids 12 years and under eat for free all day on Tuesday. One kid per $7 adult entrée.
Bang Bang Burgers
When: Tuesdays
Where: Both locations (South End and Elizabeth)
The Details: One kid’s meal per adult. Dine in only. Kids menu includes Hamburger, Chicken Nuggets or Grilled Cheese with fries and a drink.
Mac’s Speed Shop
When: Tuesdays
Where: All Charlotte-area locations
The Details: Kids eat Free after 5pm. One free kids meal with purchase of one adult meal.
Hawthorne’s Pizza
When: Tuesdays
Where: All Charlotte area locations
The Details: With every $7.50 an adult spends, you get 1 kids meal free!
Sauceman’s
When: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Where: Corner of Tryon and East Blvd. in South End
The Details: Sauceman’s serves up free food for kids every Tuesday and Wednesday. Kids meal options include Cheese Quesadilla or Pork Sandwich (both come with fries or mac and cheese and a drink).
JJ’s Red Hots
When: Wednesdays
Where: Ballantyne and Dilworth Locations Only
The Details: Up to 2 free kids meals per adult combo purchase. Kids meals include puppydawgs (battered and fried hot dog chunks), hot dog, PB&J or chicken tenders with a side and a drink).
Sabor Latin Street Grill
When: Wednesdays
Where: All Sabor locations
The Details: For kids 12 and under. One free kids meal with adult purchase. Kids meals include taco americano (ground beef, chicken or cheese), chicken tenders, kid quesadilla (ground beef, chicken or cheese) or kids quinoa avocado bowl with choice of side (chips & queso, refried beans & rice, black beans & rice or half ear of corn).
